What will you learn?

In this class, participants will learn how to make a lake pigment. These pigments can be used to paint almost immediately, or be strained and dried for later use. Making lake pigments is a wonderful way to make the most of a leftover dye bath and understand the chemistry of colour. Participants will learn the difference between dye and pigment, the proper way to handle and use chemicals used in this process, historical uses of pigments in manuscripts and various historical methods of extracting pigments.

What is the duration of the class?
The class will be held over the weekend on one day, 1 hour total, 4–5 pm Sweden time (CEST).

If you cannot attend the class, a recording will be available for a limited period.

What materials do I need to participate?
To attend this class, you do not need to purchase any materials as this class will be more of an interactive demonstration. However, with your registration you will receive a complete materials list (along with links) to purchase or gather what you need whenever you are ready to begin. . 

How do I register and what is the cost?
The total cost for the class is 75 USD. This does not include any materials you would need to purchase ahead of time.
Once I receive your payment for the class, you are registered and will be sent the materials list and some instructions to start preparing for this class.
